Reveliam Account Deletion
Last updated: January 28, 2026
This document explains how you can request the deletion of your Reveliam account and what happens to your data when you do.
1. How to request account deletion
You can delete your account in two ways:
Recommended option (instant): in the App
In the App, you can delete your account from the help menu (typically: Help > Danger Zone > Delete account; the exact location may vary or change over time).
To delete your account in the App, you need an internet connection.
When you confirm deletion, the information associated with your account will be permanently deleted, including (for example): your streak, reading progress, notes, highlights, bookmarks, preferences, and onboarding answers, among other data. This action cannot be undone.
Alternative option (less recommended): by email
You can also request deletion by email. This option may have longer response times, so we recommend using the in-app option when possible.
- Contact email:
[email protected] - Suggested subject:
Account deletion request - Include in your message:
- The email address you used to create your account.
- Your username.
- A clear statement that you request the permanent deletion of your account.
For security reasons, the email address you send the request from must match the email address of the account you want to delete. This helps prevent third parties from requesting deletion of someone else’s account.
Additionally, for security reasons, we may request additional information to verify you are the account owner.
2. Deletion timelines
If you choose the in-app option, deletion is processed immediately (it may take a few minutes to fully reflect everywhere).
If you request deletion by email, once your request is verified:
- We will start the deletion process as soon as possible.
- In general, deletion will be completed within a reasonable timeframe, which may vary depending on the type of data and backups.
3. What data is deleted
When you delete your account, we will delete or anonymize (as applicable) information associated with it, such as:
- Account and authentication identifiers.
- Profile and settings.
- Streak, reading progress, notes, highlights, bookmarks, preferences, onboarding answers, and in-app content (if linked to your account).
- Social relationships and interactions (e.g., friends, requests).
4. Data that may be retained
We may retain certain data in a limited way when necessary to:
- Comply with legal obligations or lawful requests.
- Prevent fraud, abuse, or security incidents.
- Maintain backups for a limited period (which are periodically overwritten).
When we retain data, we do so with restricted access and only for as long as needed.
5. Effects of deletion
- You will lose access to your account and any content associated with it.
- Deletion is irreversible.
- If you sign in again in the future, you may need to create a new account.
